How to Filter Opportunities for Simulations

1. Filter by Opportunity Owner or by List View
Confidence allows you to filter the opportunities you want to simulate by either Owner or List Views.

2. Filtering by owner
When filtering by the owner, Confidence will include all "closed won" and open opportunities in its forecast simulation.

3. Filtering by List View
When using the List Views filter, you can select from any Opportunity List Views you have already created. This makes it easy to create reusable filters, such as "My Team's Deals for this Current Quarter".

4. Editing or Creating New List Views
To create or edit an opportunity list view, click on the Opportunities tab.

8. List View Filters
The list view filter criteria will filter down opportunities to a subset that you can then use for your simulations. Using date literals like **Close Date =** "THIS YEAR" or "THIS QUARTER" will enable you to use filters to run monthly, quarterly, or yearly forecast simulations with ease.

9. List Views available in the Confidence List View dropdown.
Any list view you create on Opportunities will be visible in the List View dropdown so you can filter the opportunities that will be included in your simulation.
